Israel Bio-Organic Agriculture Association — www.Organic-Israel.org.ilThe IBOAA is the trade group for Israel's organic farmers. The organization provides training and education for farmers. It also lobbies the Israeli government on behalf of organic-farming issues.Jerusalem Open House — www.JerusalemOpenHouse.comJerusalem Open House operates a restaurant that serves free meals to the hungry every day of the year, including Passover and Yom Kippur. Latet — www.latet.org.ilLatet serves as an umbrella organization to 120 nonprofit organizations (associations, soup kitchens and municipal social-services departments) in 80 communities of all sectors of Israeli society. This collaboration produces efficient, continuous aid to more than 50,000 families and 200,000 needy individuals. Leket Israel: The National Food Bank — wwe.leket.org.ilLeket Israel distributes surplus food that would otherwise be discarded to people in need. An umbrella organization, Leket Israel transfers more than 60 tons of food per week to 180 soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior centers and other social-service organizations around Israel. WWOOF Israel — www.wwoof.org.ilThe Israeli branch of the worldwide WWOOF Organization allows volunteers to work on organic farms in exchange for free food and lodging.
