| Sharing God's Green Earth: Planting a Green World by Engaging the Greater Community |
By David KrantzNEW YORK (Dec. 23, 2010) — On the eve of the eve of the most widely celebrated Jewish baby's birthday ever, a holy day for billions of Christians around the world, it's important to remember that we Jews only make up about two tenths of one percent of the world's population. So if we're going to green the world, we can't do it alone. We need to engage with our brothers and sisters of all faiths.
David Krantz is the president and chairperson of the Green Zionist Alliance.

Eco-Quote
"Once, while the sage, Honi, was walking along a road, he saw an old man planting a carob tree. Honi asked him, 'How many years will it take for this tree to give forth its fruit?' The man answered that it would require 70 years. Honi asked, 'Are you so healthy a man that you expect to live that length of time and eat its fruit?' The man answered, 'I found a fruitful world because my ancestors planted it for me. So, too, I will plant for my children.' "
